The Faculty of Social Work will be relocating into a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility within the newly renovated St. Jerome’s College/High School building. This move will help to invigorate the city’s downtown, while preserving a very important piece of Kitchener’s history.
Lyle S. Hallman Foundation has given both an outright gift and a challenge gift totaling $2.5 million to the project. The Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty of Social Work will create a learning environment for social workers in the downtown area. This is intended to help forge and strengthen social links to existing agencies.
