Health Nexus
(formerly Ontario Prevention Clearing House)
For over 20 years Health Nexus (formerly the Ontario Prevention Clearinghouse) has been enabling communities to promote health-in Ontario and beyond. At little or no cost, we help organizations and individuals develop and implement prevention and health promotion strategies, which aim to enhance well-being and reduce demand on the health care and social service systems. Our three strategic areas of focus are: early child development, chronic disease prevention and health equity (inclusion).

Alliance for Children and Youth of Waterloo Region
The Alliance for Children and Youth of Waterloo Region is an independent organization working to improve the wellbeing of children, youth and families in our community. It believes in sharing the responsibility of raising the children of our community and brings together a wide range of agencies and individuals to help achieve this goal.

Baby Connections
Baby Connections is a not-for-profit community program which promotes the importance of early literacy. Research shows that literacy is a key determinant of health, has a great impact on academic performance, and contributes to stronger families and communities.

The Canadian Centre for Positive Youth Development was established in 1988 and is based in Waterloo, Ontario.  A registered charitable organization, Thrive! believes that the power and breadth of our mission can best be achieved through dynamic, mutually beneficial relationships with other individuals, organizations and associations.

Strong Start®
Strong Start® is a community project whose goal is to ensure that all of the children within the community learn to read. Strong Start® was started in 2001 and is supported through financial donations as well as volunteers who help to run the program.

Early Years Study 3
The Early Years Study 3 documents the social, economic and scientific rationale for increased investments in early childhood education. It also introduces the Early Childhood Education Index to monitor the funding, policy, access and quality of early education programming.
