Reporting Guidelines
We would prefer to receive a document of about 4-6 pages that includes narrative and financial information. While the Foundation does not have a standard reporting format, we do have a few guidelines which are summarized below.
Annual Progress Reports should include:
An assessment of the progress of the project as measured against initial objectives, its challenges or difficulties, and what has been learnt so far.
A financial report of the revenue and expenditure for the project to date. Please specify how the Foundation’s grant has been used to date.
A brief summary of your project plans for the upcoming year.
A copy of the agency’s audited Financial Statements.
A copy of the agency’s annual report.
The Final Report should include:
An assessment of the accomplishments of the project as measured against initial objectives.
Challenges or difficulties encountered and how they impacted the grant.
Lessons learnt, especially those you think are important to share with groups involved in similar work.
A final financial report of the revenue and expenditure for the project. Please specify how the Foundation’s grant was utilized.
A copy of the agency’s audited Financial Statements.
A copy of the agency’s annual report.
Evaluation and impact of grant
The Foundation requires all applicants to specify what indicators will be used to measure the impact of the project. In some cases, the Foundation may request the project to incorporate a full evaluation.
The purpose of measuring the impact of the grants is twofold: to learn and to be accountable.
The Foundation encourages organizations to share the results of their grant with others in the community.
Acknowledgment and recognition
The Foundation appreciates your recognition of its support to your organization.
If you are a successful applicant and plan a press release or other recognition, please contact the Foundation in advance to discuss the wording of the announcement. The Foundation is aware that recognition of donors may be helpful to your organization in attracting other funding. This acknowledgement is also helpful to the Foundation in informing the community of the type of applications it supports.
If you are a successful applicant and wish to recognize the Foundation, the Foundation grants you the right to use the Foundation’s logo as part of the recognition provided for the approved grant. You can find our logo here.
